Turkey Day in Wiggins

Loving mommy!

Our family picture we took right before we left...not so good!

We had a great time visiting Wiggins for Thanksgiving...I'm embarrased to say that it was the first time since we had seen Will's grandparents from last year at Thanksgiving. I know we've got to do better. There were so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members there. We had a great time catching up, and Parker had the best time running around outside with all of his cousins!

Happy 20 month birthday!

Parker is 20 months old today...wow, where did time go?! I can't believe how big he's gotten. He weighs right around 26 lb. and is about 33 in. tall. He is getting very independent, using words like "I do it" and "mine". He is now putting words together to make sentences, and his absolute favorite thing is red tractors. Every tractor he sees is poppy's tractor red...I know we've gotta work on the order. He is still not a very good eater, well, lets just say it comes and goes. One night he will eat everything on his plate, then not eat another good meal for two days. Our pediatrician called it the "toddler diet" and reassured me that was normal. His two favorite songs are "Old MacDonald" and "Row Row Row Your Boat". He can say most of the words with me when I sing them. Instead of baths these days, he really loves showering with daddy. In fact, now he thinks he needs one every time dad has one. He really doesn't have just one favorite toy anymore...he loves to be outside, play with any tractor, watch his DVD Player, and play with Ali or any animal! He says so many words I just can't even start to list them all...however, I am going to make a list for myself to see how many he can say now. I'm willing to guess anywhere from 75-100. He is just growing up so fast, and we are very thankful that he is ours! Parker, we love you so much!

A time for giving thanks...

Yes, he even picked up that big one by himself!

As it gets close to Thanksgiving, it makes me think of the things I am thankful for. Parker is definitely one of them...he melts me with that smile!

Weekend at Nana and Uncle Leighton's House

This weekend we headed to Jackson on Saturday morning. However, not before we had to stop and clean the house...yes, they called and said they were showing it that morning! We did not complain at all!! Matt, Christie, and Breland met us down there. The guys took off first for Bass Pro and left us girls with the kids. We took Bre and Parker to play out in the yard, and they both loved it! When the guys returned, we headed off ourselves for a little shopping at the mall. I bought mostly Christmas items...I was so proud of my bargain on polo shirts (on sale for 49.99, regularly 89.99). So, that took care of poppy and dad! That night, we just hung out at the house and let the kids play. We were so glad to be joined by Sophie and Greg Yurkow. Sunday morning we woke up, ate breakfast, then our family headed off for more shopping. We just had a great time all weekend. I forgot my camera, but Christie had hers so when I get some pictures I'll put some up!
By the way, the only person Parker wanted all weekend was his "nana"!! I had been talking to him all week about going to their house and how excited it would be to see them! He really understood!
