50 years

Mimi and Poppy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve. We all decided to give them a new digital camera...hope they use it to take lots of pictures of Parker!

Having lunch together!

We celebrated Christmas with mom's side of the family on Christmas night/late afternoon. We had a great time and enjoyed another great meal! We were so glad to have everyone with us...we were worried Steven might not make if from Seattle. We enjoyed getting to visit with him! Yet again, another great Christmas!

Parker with Big Daddy

We had Christmas with the Sledge's on Christmas Day. We did breakfast at Big Daddy's after opening Santa, and we had lunch at Mrs. Peggy and Mr. Wilson's. Everything was delicious. We had a great family day together!

Santa Came to See Parker...

Parker woke up Christmas morning excited...he didn't really understand the concept of Santa. We had a great time, and he loved all of his gifts from Santa...especially the basketball goal!

It's About the Cross

Scroll down to the bottom so you can hear the song I was talking about from chapel. If you haven't heard it, you will truly be blessed. It describes the meaning of Christmas!

These are just a few random pictures I've been meaning to post. Enjoy!

We traveled to Bentonville, AR, on Friday Dec. 19 for the wedding of my cousin Ryan. We had a great time visiting NWA, which Will and I love. The area is so pretty with mountains and so many activities to do! We will definitely have to visit more often. While we were there celebrating the marriage, we also had Christmas with the Williams and Kee families. We had a great time visiting with everyone at Uncle Dan and Aunt Deb's house. They were so kind to invite everyone over for food and visiting after the wedding on Saturday night. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was too busy chasing Parker everywhere. Thanks to everyone for Parker's presents, he loved them all!!

Parker is visiting Arkansas!

He is getting so big!

Playing with grumps

Probably talking Grandma Sue (mawmaw as he calls her) into some coke!

Parker left with mom on Sunday. Wow, that's a long time to be gone! They have been doing lots of fun things this week. It worked out perfect because mom has been off the last two days for ice. Grumps kept Parker on Monday and said that he was good. I hope he was telling the truth. As you can see, Papa sent me some pictures that he took. Parker is definitely enjoying himself. If you can see the cheese on his mouth, Mawmaw (as he calls her) gave him Cheetos for lunch! He loved it! I can't wait to see my little man on Friday!!

Its about the cross...

We had a great song in chapel this morning reminding us that without the cross, we wouldn't be celebrating Christmas! Jesus would just have been another "good guy" without his dying on the cross for our sins! As they say, "Jesus is the reason for the season!"

Who doesn't love a bargain?!

I found this really cute monogramming business just randomly through blogs. They have really cute appliques and fabrics...the best part is that they are on SALE. Only $10 until Tuesday! Check out her blog at makeminemonogrammed.blogspot. She seems really sweet through emails and has really cute items!

I completely guessed wrong...Anna and Leighton are having a GIRL!
Elliot Marie Janes is due to arrive in May! We can't wait to meet HER!

Niece or Nephew...

We find out today (hopefully they can tell) what Anna and Leighton are having!! Can't wait!

New and Old

YEAH! Our new house...we stayed there last night for the first time! It is really crazy right now because we are only living with half of our things. The rest will come when we sell our other house. I'm gonna miss our other home, but this one is so much more practical (especially if we have more has 4 beds). So, say a prayer that our other house will sell fast! If you know anyone who needs one, send them our way!

Anyone need a house? 3 beds/2baths - 2200 sq feet - fenced yard - screened in back porch- fireplace

While doing some shopping today at Walmart, we noticed Santa was in the Garden Center. We went by and decided to get our picture you can tell, Parker really didn't care for Santa. He didn't cry, but he really didn't like him. Oh well, at least I have my picture with Santa!

Flashback Friday...ENJOY!

A few pictures from our wedding in March, has time flown by! I'm so blessed to have a great husband and a perfect little boy! God is so good!

This Weekend...

I really hope that we don't do much of anything...I'm looking forward to sleeping late! Wait, that won't happen with Will going hunting, and Parker staying with me. Maybe I can keep him up later so he will sleep later. I better work out a plan. I also hope to address and print my Christmas cards...I really love this time of year. Only, it really doesn't feel like Christmas to me. We have two houses and this point, and our tree is decorated at the house we are not living in. So, I kinda feel like we aren't celebrating Christmas. I also plan to bake some cookies with Parker, this might be disastrous, guess we will see. Thanks to all of you who said a prayer for dad, he is now home and doing well! Hope you all have a restful weekend...I hope I do!

*We might move a few of our things to the new house, guess we will see how involved Will gets with hunting this weekend!

I rarely ever post about him or brag on things he does...however, this is a big thing! He just finished his MBA, and I am most excited for him. He has been working on this for a while, at one point going to classes on the weekends and then finishing by online classes. I am so proud that he had the motivation to go back and better himself and his education. He really didn't have to get it for his job, but he wanted to! I'm just so proud he is mine, and he is the best daddy I could have ever asked for! Daddy, we are so proud of you and love you very much!

Say a little prayer...

for Grumps (my dad), he had to have a stint put in today after a heart cath showed some blockage. So thankful that they were able to fix it, and he will be much better soon! Maybe I should say to say a prayer for mom having to deal with dad...he's not a good patient. And if you know him, its gonna be fighting tooth and nail getting him to eat a "heart healthy" diet! Thanks in advance for all the prayers!

Bye Bye to the Pappy!

It has officially almost been two weeks without the pappy. He has had to have it a couple of times to go to sleep (or on the trip to Mawmaw and Pawpaw's for Thanksgiving). Otherwise, he has done an excellent job of getting rid of it. I thought it would have been a lot harder. He does still ask for it occassionally, but not nearly like at first. Just another sign that my baby is growing up!

Photography by Alan Lamastus

Here's just a sneak preview of the pictures taken by Alan Lamastus last weekend. If you can only imagine, they are not at a great age to photograph. There were running around everywhere. He did great to capture some great pictures that we will cherish forever!
