Swimming Again...

Water is so cold!
Parker decided to suntan instead

We managed to make it back to the pool again today! We talked Will into going with us this time. As soon as we pulled up in Big Daddy's driveway, Parker fell asleep. Needless to say, that didn't last long. We visited with Big Daddy for a bit, then we made our way out to the pool. The water is beautiful, and I love being in his backyard. However, the water was so cold! So, are trip was short! Maybe we can make it back one day next week and hope the water is warmer!

Swimming at Big Daddy's...

We love that Big Daddy has a pool! Today, we went with Abby and Lane. Parker and Lane had a great time. Lane liked the water more than Parker, he would rather just run around the pool messing with sticks and leaves. Occassionally, he would want to get in. However, he just wanted to jump in!! It was lots of fun, and we had to be on our toes at all times watching them around the pool! Can't wait to go back soon!!

Say Cheese...

This is the face he kept making when we would tell him to "say cheese" for the camera!

PDS Playground

We took a trip to the PDS Playground, where I teach school. It's so nice being out and being able to do things with Parker. We decided to go on Tuesday afternoon, and we stayed for about 45 minutes, which was long enough because of the heat! The trip was successful...no rocks were eaten!

Where's Your Tongue?

This is his new trick!! We love doing this!!

Trip to Tita's House...

Tita, Parker, and Mady
Gran, Parker, and Mady
The princess
Of course, he got a prize sent from Mimi and Tita. They are always thinking of this little boy. I know he will love using these at the beach (hopefully we make it there)!

Last weekend, we went to visit Parker's tita (my aunt Mitzi) who lives in Greenwood. She had been staying with Mimi in Birmingham for the last couple of weeks, so we were ready to see her. Also, while she was gone she had her living room redone, so we were excited to see it. Its amazing what a new coat of paint and new floor will do...it looks great!! We also visited with all of her furry babies...Mady, Fuzzy, Patches, Moses, and Autumn. She loves animals!! We had a great visit and can't wait to be able to go more this summer!

14 Months...

Wow! Time has flown by so fast...Parker is 14 months old today! I'm still in awe of this precious boy. He is such a blessing to Will and I. Some of his favorite foods are peanut butter/jelly toast, muffins, pizza, goldfish, and cheeze-its. He really will eat almost anything. His favorite drinks are kool-aid and milk. Some of his favorite words or phrases that he says are Ali Cat, see, I got, deer, duck, side (outside), daddy, momma, ma (for Mam'me), GaGa (for gran gran), ump (Grumps). He says lots of other things, we just can't always understand them! One of his favorite things to do is to play outside. He loves to play in the water...actually the hose not the pool! We really are just thankful that the Lord blessed us with this child, and we can't wait to watch him continue to grow!

Swimming with boots!

Yesterday afternoon it was very hot and humid outside, so we decided to get out Parker's little pool from last summer. The water was acutally really cold, so he didn't want to get in the water without his boots. The boots are new this week...when dad's away we purchase new things!! Later in the afternoon, he even ended up naked, which he absolutely loved! Needless to say, we had a fun afternoon!

The pink barbie jeep...need I say more!

While Will was gone this week, we went to visit the Koger's in Indianola. Parker loved playing with Emma Grace and Audrey. They started off playing in Emma Grace's bedroom, but we later took them outside. Parker loved the pink barbie jeep! As you can see, this will be a toy we will have to purchase...probably not pink though!

Breakfast and Bedtime...

This has been one crazy week with Will gone. Things run much more smoothly when he is here. He normally helps by taking Parker to daycare and dresses him. So, needless to say, I haven't been getting all my beauty sleep! Here are just two of my favorite pictures from the weekend...starting off the day with breakfast and finishing the day with bath and teeth brushing. We are ready for daddy to be home tomorrow!!

Grandfathers...

Big Daddy (Will's Grandfather) and Parker
Poppy and Parker - see Parker's cute red tractor shirt...the reason we like red tractors is because Poppy drives red tractors!! We got to visit with these two great-grandfathers last weekend at a cookout at Mam'me and Pops. We love when we get to spend time with them!

Daddy's Away...

Will has gone to Vanderbilt until Friday for a Commercial Lending Banking School. We will be traveling from different houses this week, as I am a scaredy cat to stay by myself (alarm system and all). I know, I'm kinda old to not like to stay alone. However, my in-laws and sister-in-law have graciously allowed Parker and I to crash at their place! We are thankful...but already ready for Will to come home! We love you and miss you, Daddy!

Bre Bre and Parker

Cousin Breland came to play one night last week...it's not like they live far away (not even a mile)! I'm thankful to have them so close, Chrisite is like a sister to me! I'm glad Parker will have a cousin to grow up with!

Nightgown...

Parker visited Mam'me and Pop for a little while one night. Pop gave him a bath, and then he didn't have any clothes there. So, he came home with Mam'me's shirt. He loved it!

Off to Jackson

We headed off to Jackson on Saturday morning to see Nana and Uncle Leighton. Parker had a great time and liked playing with Scooter...although he called him Ali Cat (IE AT). That night we all went to see a Mississippi Braves game. This was Parker's first ballgame in a real ballpark, other than the ones in Cleveland. He was good overall, considering he had to sit in our laps for about 3 hours. We can't wait to go back soon!

Thanks....

for all of your prayers...Mimi is doing great!! She even talked to Parker on Sunday morning. She sounds so good and says she already has a lot more energy. We are so excited that this surgery is over and her new kidney is already functioning properly. What a miracle!

Audrey

Stacie and Trey had another beautiful baby girl last Wednesday, April 30. Audrey weighed 7lb. 15oz. I went to visit on Sunday, and I loved holding her! I can't wait to go back! Audrey is welcomed home by big sister, Emma Grace, who is almost 3. Emma Grace is really proud of her baby sister! I couldn't be happier for that sweet family!

Mommy and Me...

Today is a Mommy/Parker Day! Will has gone golfing with the Planters Bank crew over in Greenwood. Normally, when they go it is really late when they get home. P and I will probably already be asleep. I hope Will has lots of fun...he doesn't get to go golfing much!

Mimi's Big Day...

Please say a special prayer on Friday for Mimi (my grandmother and Parker's great) as she is having a kidney transplant. We are so grateful and thankful that she has a match and is even eligible. I know that everything will go great but just remember her because she won't get to see Parker for a couple of weeks!

Ready to go back...

Gran and Parker

It was so long in between visits the last time, that I'm ready to go back! I sometimes really miss being there and the things that are normal there. Although Cleveland is now my home, Arkasnas will always have a special place!
