Diva in Training...

2 1/2 years....

On Monday, Parker was officially 2 1/2 years old! He is growing up so fast, but he will always be my baby boy! I can't even begin to post all of the things that he says and does, but I find myself just stopping and laughing at the funny things that he says! I have realized here lately that he talks the whole way in the car when we go somewhere until he falls asleep. I really love it, but I sometimes enjoy the silence too! =) He enjoys going and spending time with family and friends...he will go and spend the night in a heartbeat! He is all boy and loves any outdoor activity...riding four-wheelers, lawnmowers, golf carts, tractors, you name it! His latest adventure was riding the combine with poppy, and he has talked about it since it happened. He is still a picky eater...he eats much better at school than at home. I'm guessing he eats because he sees the other kids eats. Saying nursery rhymes is something that he has learned lots of at his new school. He loves to recite "Humpty Dumpty", "Rain, Rain Go Away", and "Jack Be Nimble". Those are just a few he comes home with. He has just become aware of the radio in the car and now has a favorite country song. His father is going to kill me, it is by Jason Aldean "Big Green Tractor". You should've known that it would have tractor somewhere. I really can't believe that he is closer to 3 now than 2! I'm loving every minute of watching him be the best big brother, he is so protective of his little sister. We are cherishing every minute of his little life!

7 weeks...

We are spending our 7 week birthday at the cabin...just Nevin Claire and I. We all came over last night and are staying until Thursday. Today, Will and Parker went into town for work and big school, and it is just us girls here. She is napping and I'm just being lazy...I'm loving every minute! Can't believe she is already 7 weeks old...check out that half smile!

Nevin Claire - 6 weeks

More Fair...

On our way home
the fair

love this face!

Parker's 1st Fair...

While we were avoiding the flu last week in AR, Grumps and I decided to take Parker to the fair. Well, I really decided and made him come along too. Mom said home to keep Nevin Claire. We didn't really want to get her out there with all those people. When we arrived, we went through the swine barn and cow barn. Of course, he loved him. He loves all farm animals. Then, we ran into the Decker's and some of their friends from church. It was so fun to have little boys for Parker to play with that were his age. They all had the best time riding lots of different rides. Parker mainly rode by himself, but a couple of times I rode and Brandon rode the train with the boys. I keep asking him what his favorite ride was, but he just keeps saying he wants to go back! All in all, I think it was a successful first trip to the fair!

Faces...

Parker loves to make different faces these days. Some of those are his funny face, happy face, mad face, and sad face. As you can see here, Will was making some of these faces with him while we were visiting in AR a couple of weeks ago!

Parker and Jaxton

Parker always has a great time at Ninny and Grumps's house! It is even better when he gets to play with Jaxton, his AR buddy. Look at those two cute faces!!

Christmas outfit for Nevin Claire

Yesterday afternoon I headed out by MYSELF to hit a few stores downtown. I stopped by the Punkin Patch and stayed almost an hour. Will has no idea how I can spend that long in a kids store...but I can. I just looked and looked and looked. I was looking for my two kids and Breland has a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. I ended up with a Christmas outfit for Nevin Claire and a long sleeved shirt and sweater vest for Parker. Then, I went into the Hallmark store. I took a couple of shirts and onesies to be monogrammed. I really can't wait to get these back, I know they are going to be adorable! Last night, I got in an order from Sweet Tea that I had placed in July...it was so fun looking at the cute stuff I had really forgotten about. Actually not forgotten, just forgot really what it looked like. I can't wait for the kids to wear these cute fall clothes!

Friday Night Fun!

On Friday night, we just hung out at the house! Seems to be what we are doing a lot here lately with the scare of swine flu. Nevin Claire enjoyed time just hanging out in her bed. She just lays in there and kicks and swings her arms until she eventually just wears herself out and falls asleep. Parker was in his room with "honey bear" his new best friend. They were sitting in the Thomas chair together watching a movie. As you can see, they were having a great time! All in all, we had a very uneventful night at home...which was wonderful!

Swinging...

On Friday, I put Nevin Claire in the swing for the first time! She loved it...so much that it eventually put her to sleep!

Nap Time!

This is what the kiddos are doing right now!

Spirit Week...Colored Socks Day

Headed out the door
Showing off his colored socks...he was pretty proud of them!

At Parker's big school, they are having school spirit week since this weekend is the big opening of football season! Today was colored socks day. We had to go to Walmart to get some colored socks because he didn't have any!

*When I picked him up yesterday, his teachers were so excited to tell me he used the potty and actually told them he had to go!! We were so excited and made such a big deal over it...including going to Walmart for a prize!
